OKAY HERE IT IS, THE BIG ANNOUNCEMENT : I’M HOSTING A READATHON 🎉🎉 i’ve been wanting to do this for ages now so me and a few other aMaZiNg bookstagrammers have planned out ASTROTHON. it’s space themed because heck, space is cool. and we have challenges but it’s just gonna be a really chill weeklong readathon.
so here are all the details: * the readathon is gonna start on july 1st at midnight (IN YOUR TIMEZONE) and end on july 8th at midnight. * don’t wanna stress you out but it’s good to set goals so LET’S ALL TRY AND READ AT LEAST 4 BOOKS THAT WEEK * you can pick out the books based off the challenges we have planned * you can overlap two challenges, it’ll help you conquer more of them * DIVERSE BOOKS ARE REALLY IMPORTANT TO ALL OF US SO I HOPE YOU GUYS PICK OUT SOME GOOD ONES
* each one of the hosts have picked a book that we think is great so if you wanna read that during the readathon, that’ll be super fun! we can talk about it and it’ll be like a mini book club. although it’s not compulsory you read a host pick, it’s just a fun recommendation! * lastly, if you’re posting anything about the readathon, use #astrothon2018 so me and the others can see em!
AND THAT’S IT!
my host pick, to no one’s surprise is WHEN DIMPLE MET RISHI BY SANDHYA MENON. i hope some of you will read it during astrothon!! you can go check out the other hosts’ accounts for THEIR picks (also they’re just all great)
(yes i know this photo is blurry but it’s also cute so really, is that even a problem) -
so here’s my current read, i know you’ve all probably seen this on my feed before and what happened last time was, i fell in to a really bad reading slump right after i started this book so i ended up putting it down. but this book still sounds like something i’d adore and i loved renee ahdieh’s other book, the wrath and the dawn so here i am giving this another go. ALSO I FINISHED LEAH ON THE OFFBEAT AND AS USUAL BECKY ALBERTALLI MADE ME FEEL SO MANY THINGS. it was super cute and i initially gave it a 4 stars BUT i think i’m going to lower it because something about the romance bothers me and i keep thinking about it and it’s super conflicting. if you’ve read the book, then you probably know what i’m talking about. but that was the first time i’ve read a book with a bi girl as the main character and it made me super emotional so now i’m on the lookout for more books like it. thinking of finally reading queens of geek because @keeperofthesuns kept telling me to read it LAST YEAR so i guess it’s well past time -
qotp: are there any books you put down/didn’t finish reading the first time that you still want to give a second chance to?
